Handover Ceremonies of Air Quality Monitoring Station (AQMS) in Brunei Darussalam, Thailand, and Cambodia
The CASA Project Management Unit (CASA PMU), which implements the Clean Air for Sustainable ASEAN (CASA) Project, has continued to support Air Quality Monitoring Stations (AQMS) in ASEAN countries, including Brunei Darussalam, Thailand, and Cambodia, following the support to Lao PDR in August 2024.
The handover ceremonies for each AQMS in Brunei in November 2024, Thailand in December 2024, and Cambodia in February 2025 were successfully held, reaffirming the importance of ASEAN-Korea cooperation for sustainable development in the environmental sector, including air quality.
The CASA project, which is funded by the ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund (AKCF) from 2023 to 2026, is an environmental health project that analyzes air pollution sources and health impacts in 10 ASEAN Member States and provides various support to achieve cleaner air quality. The CASA PMU, led by Professor Kiyoung Lee of Graduate School of Public Health, Seoul National University, will continue to support AQMS for the rest of ASEAN countries, one of the main activities of the project in the future.
